The Prix Elysée is open to promising photographers or artists using photography, regardless of nationality, who have already enjoyed their first exhibitions and publications. Photographers must be recommended by a reputed professional in the fields of photography, contemporary art, cinema, fashion, journalism or publishing. There is no imposed theme or preference for any particular photographic genre or technique.

The LUMIX Festival honours, in several categories, young and socially engaged 21st-century photojournalism that actively investigates political, cultural, social, ecological and technological processes. The focus is directed at journalistic, transmedia narrative formats and current perspectives of the documentary. On this occasion young photojournalists are invited to take part in the competitionfor the FREELENS Award, which is endowed with 10,000 euros. The best projects in both categories (Picture Series / Photo Story and Digital Storytelling) will be presented in 80 exhibitions during the Lumix Festival for Young Visual Journalism 2020, June 24 to 28 in Hannover.

Five decades of photography told from a female perspective: Under the title RESISTANCE & SENSIBILITY, the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt (FFF) shows more than 100 works by Italian photographers from 1965 to the present day.
The works from the »Collezione Donata Pizzi« show various facets of everyday life, social and contemporary history. The focus is on the life of women, their hopes and illusions, struggles and crossing borders are just a few of the issues discussed.
