The Independent Photographer Competition Awards welcomes submissions from all photographers. It's aim is to bring exposure to talented and unique photographers from all over the world, whether in aesthetic, narrative, technical or formal terms.
“Color! What a deep and mysterious language, the language of dreams.” – Paul Gauguin Cool or warm, soft or vivid, how can subtle shades of colors affect mood and our perception of a scene?
Award winners will see their images exhibited at the CLB gallery, Berlin.

The Award is one of the richest photography competitions in the German-speaking world. It honours work that demonstrates a love of photography and the highest standards of image quality.
The submission period for the Felix Schoeller Photo Award's 2019 edition will start at 01.01.2019
British Journal of Photography and the judging panel, comprised of key industry leaders, aim to award and promote a body of work that has a distinct narrative, and feature images from a compelling project on any topic. The chosen photographer will then be awarded with a solo show in the renowned contemporary art gallery TJ Boulting, based in Fitzrovia, London UK.

"Sommerkino" - bright summer moments in November: exhibition opening presenting some of the works of plainpicture photographer Mia Takahara.
Hamburg introduces a new photo award: The "Georg Koppmann Award for Hamburg City Photography" will be offered for the first time aiming at professional photographers and graduates of photo courses at colleges, universities and academies. It is awarded for an artistic-documentary examination of the cityscape of Hamburg and its changes. The work should develop an independent photographic perspective on the city as a living space and place of residence and deal with its processes of change.

The Institut pour la photographie is launching the first edition of its research and creation support programme on the theme ‘Photography, object of dissemination’. It awards four annual grants required to research, create and complete the selected projects and is open to doctoral students, university and independent researchers, exhibition curators and artists, regardless of age or nationality.
