Athens Photo Festival 2018

The Athens Photo Festival 2018 brings together over 120 emerging and established international artists with the aim to reflect the diversity of contemporary photography, and to create opportunities for exchange of ideas, artistic expression and international engagement.
The 2018 main exhibitions will take place until July, 29th 2018, at the Benaki Museum (Pireos St. Annexe).

2018 Rencontres d'Arles Festival | Voies Off

This year plainpicture creative director Roman Härer participates as an expert for the Rencontres d'Arles Festival and a portfolio reviewer at the Voies Off Festival.
He will stay in Arles from July 2nd - 7th.

Festival for Photography f/stop Leipzig

f/stop Leipzig is one of the most important photography festivals in Germany. Exhibitions and symposia conceived by guest curators offer a platform for artistic, curatorial and academic work that explores social issues utilizing the resources and potential of photography. The main exhibition, f/stop Print, the f/stop Symposium, and other programme sections take place at the historical Baumwollspinnerei (cotton mill) in Leipzig. Various Leipzig-based organizations, project spaces, and galleries enhance the festival with their own events

PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris - Heiko Hellwig

plainpicture photographer Heiko Hellwig has been awarded for two work series at the Prix de la Photographie, Paris (p×3), a competition to introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris.

Gold in the category Fine Art / Abstract for Silicon Cities

Le Festival de Photographie du Pays Basque

RITES   SYMBOLES   LIBERTÉ
Land, country, forty-eight photographers. The festival was founded in 2014 in the Basque Country, an area between France and Spain with a strong identity and a rich culture.  
It presents the diversity of beliefs and myths within the region as the driving principle of human communities showing images of both the plurality of the interpretation of the sacred.

[HOME] on belonging, safety, migration and nomadism

This group exhibition is part of the Triennal of Photography in Hamburg. plainpicture photographer Andrea Diefenbach is taking part with her project "Land ohne Eltern - Country without parents". She portrayed children who are left behind in Moldova by their parents, who earn their money in Italy - laboriously and sometimes illegally.
