This Award is open to women photographers, professional and amateur, working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought. Traditional, contemporary, avant-garde, creative and experimental works that include old and new processes, mixed techniques, and challenging personal, emotional or political statements will be welcome.

In Zeiten, in denen die Nachrichten von Flucht, Krieg und der Diskussion um Asyl und Bleiberecht bestimmt werden und sich Menschen in diffusem Unwohlsein abgrenzen,haben sich fünf Student*innen von "EVA, Schule für Fotografie" in Hamburg auf die Spurensuche zu ihren eigenen Wurzeln gemacht. Begleitet wurde das Projekt durch die plainpicture Fotografin Barbara Dombrowski.
